Information Collection
sparkmanfinancials.com has forms that collect names, email addresses, and phone numbers when submitted. No financial data is collected on this website. Any request for financial information would be made after a purchase or booking of a meeting. This company and its representatives would never ask for any passwords or other sensitive data. The type of information our financial planners would ask for is a screenshot or verbal relay of a credit card statement. Credit card statements are necessary to produce credit card management reports.
Collection methods
Information is gathered through fillable forms, email, or during meetings with your financial planner via phone call, video call, or in-person. For clients that want to skip meeting with a financial planner that may be asked to relay certain information with guidance. Depending on the service, certain financial information is needed. For example, if a customer is interested in the subscription & bill planning service, the financial planner needs to review the last 3 months of statements for each credit card and debit card account. If the customer/client is not comfortable sharing the statement directly, they can look it over themselves with guidance from the financial planner and work to identify recurring expenses and categorize them. To create a personalized balance sheet, the financial planner has to be informed of all the asset accounts you want to include, and all the liability balances. If the customer does not want to share this data, they may receive the template so they can enter the data on their own. Each service has unique information requirements and the way the financial planner gathers the necessary data from the customer is unique to the customer based on their preferences. Ideally, all the important information can be exchanged during one meeting. In a zoom call meeting, customers/clients have the option to share their screen so the financial planner can work with the client to gather necessary data more efficiently and show the client what to look for when looking at financial documents like a credit card or bank statement. If the client does not want to meet in person, via video call, or do a phone call, the financial planner may send questionaires to the client or ask the client to send necessary information via email. The user/client should redact (remove) any sensitive information before sending any screenshots or snips over to the financial planner via email.
Data security and storage
sparkmanfinancials.com is hosted on the Wix.com platform, where data is stored on secure servers behind a firewall. Company websites, representatives, and financial planners will never request passwords or other sensitive identification methods. Any data exchanged with the client is only inputted into reports for analysis of financial factors and client use. Clients are encouraged to withhold any private information that should not be shared or they do not feel comfortable sharing. There are ways to work around customer concerns of privacy. For example, if a client does not want to share a statement because it has an embarrassing purchase on there, they can instead relay the important information to the financial planner and make their own conclusions through guidance by the financial planner.
